The Writing Legends Academy is an initiative by Writing Legends, which provides capacity building and mentoring to young, talented people in areas currently deemed unconventional or are limited in the Eastern Caribbean. Writing Legends co-Founder, Jonathan Charlery - St. Mary’s College alumnus and Senior Software Engineer and Technical Recruiter with Bloomberg, offered to spearhead a camp during the Christmas break to introduce some students to the world of computer programming, engineering, and information technology.
To date, they have identified a number of basic, youth-friendly resources and training materials which can be used for the course, and have collaborated with representatives from FLOW and the Ministry of Education in St. Lucia, making this endeavour a success.
